Parma Broaches

The Parma Broach is a high speed vertical broaching machine. Available in 24" 36" and 48" stokes. The 24" and 36" are available in 2 or 4 tons. All 48" machines are 4 ton. All machines are capable of 60 fpm and 120 fpm.

All machines are controlled by a state of the art programmable logic controls (PLCs). The PLCs have multiple additional inputs and outputs available. The extra input and output capacity is for integration with a variety of our automatic fixtures or for integration with custom tooling built by us, or built by you. A standard plug is utilized for most automatic fixtures. A second, third, or fourth plug can be added for easy setup of more complex systems.

A large opening in the plantum allows large broach holders to pass through. All machine come equipped with DeStaco power booster for flexible and powerful clamping. A Bejur automatic lubing system is provided to insure adequate lubrication and low maintenance. A 1/4 horsepower coolant pump is provided for oil or water based coolant.

Solid bronze gibs replace the standard bronze laminated gibs used by competitors. With solid bronze the possibility of wearing off the laminate and running steel on steel, possibly damaging the slide, is eliminated. Also, solid bronze gibs can be reground several times to last millions of stokes.
