The Parma Broach
The Parma Broach is a high speed verticle broaching machine. Avalible
in 24" 36" and 48" stokes. The 24" and 36" are avalible in 2 or 4 tons. All 48"
machines are 4 ton. All machines are capible of 60 fpm and 120 fpm.
All machines are controlled by a state of the art mitsubishi 60I/O PLC.
This PLC has 15 unused inputs, and 16 unuses outputs. The extra I/o capacity is
for inegration with a varitity of our automatic fixtures or for inigration with
custom tooling built by us, or built by you. A standard plug is utilised for most
automatic fixtures. A second, third, or fourth plug can be added for easy setup of
more complex systems.
A large opening in the plantum allows large broach holders to pass through.
All machine come equiped with DeStaco power booster for flexible and powerful
clamping. A Bejur automatic luber is provided to insure adiquite lubrication and low
maintinance. A 1/4 horsepower coolant pump is provided for oil or water based coolant.
Solid bronse gibs replace the standard bronse laminated gibs used by competitors.
With solid bronse the posibility of wearing off the laminat and running steel on steel,
posibly damaging the slide, is eliminated. Also, solid bronse gibs can be reground
several times to last millions of stokes.
